Salon RIsing Team
Samara Scott-Hunter
Samara is the principal mentor for the Salon Rising group. Her journey into mentoring has evolved organically over her years in business.
Samara is the owner and director of La Sorella, a prestigious hair salon on Australia's Gold Coast. La Sorella is an award-winning salon, well regarded in the industry. Samara's journey has seen her grow her salon from a one-man band to a thriving business with multiple staff. During her 13 years business Samara has learnt many lessons. Sometimes the hard way. Her passion comes from wanting to help others on that same journey. To be the guide that she wished she had in her early days in business.
Samara encourages community over competition. Her skill not only as a stylist but as an educator was quickly recognised. Samara has been flown all over Australia educating other hairdressers. These opportunities introduced her to many people in the hair and beauty industry. Other salon owners started reaching out to Samara, seeking her guidance and support. This is how her journey into mentoring began.
Over a 3-year period the demand for Samara's business development and mentoring grew. So much so that it became a business in its own right and Salon Rising was born.
Samara is passionate about continuing her own growth and development. She undertakes coaching and mentoring to further her skill set. Samara believes we are forever learning and evolving and it's her job to continue to grow for her clients.
Samara is a woman with many hats. As well as mentoring with Salon Rising, she still has an active role in La Sorella. This gives Samara a real understanding of what her clients are experiencing. She is a mother of 3 beautiful kiddos, so her life is full and fast. Samara is all about family (her brother Rich is her Salon Rising business partner) and a fierce friend. She is cheerleader for her humans a foodie (did someone say bakery treats) and a lover of margaritas.
We can't wait for you to experience the passion that Samara brings. Not only to your business but your life.
